Helping Families Conserve Nature on Their Land Educational Series Brochure

Gardening Workshops to be Presented

Harlan Day, leader of the New Chauncey Gardeners group passes on to us this information from Jeff Phillips, Tippecanoe County Extension Educator. Purdue Ag Extension is sponsoring a series of workshops that will be offered from February through April on Conserving Nature. The workshops will have great speakers and topics and all will be held at the Tippecanoe County Extension Office. Please pass the flyer along to others. This might get you thinking about your gardens and yards during this snowy time. Call Mr. Phillips if you have any questions.

From the brochure:

Do you enjoy nature? Do you want to develop or enhance wildlife habitat on your property? Do you own 10 or fewer acres? If the answer to one or more of these questions is “yes” then this program is for you. Purdue University Extension is exited to bring this program to our area. You will learn about techniques, practices and assistance for developing and enhancing forests, landscapes, ponds and other natural resources on your land.

Classroom sessions will take place at the Purdue Extension office in Tippecanoe County. Refreshments and snacks will be served each session. A field tour of a local property will be conducted on Saturday, March 29th (8:30 to 11:00 am). The Pond session is optional. If at least XX people are interested (have ponds or are interested in building ponds), it will be conducted on April 3 at our normal time and location.
